The Necessity of Blood Atonement

The doctrine of the blood atonement throughout the scripture is the NECESSARY SUBSTITUTE that GOD has used for there to be forgiveness of sins. (Hebrews 8:3; Hebrews 9:6-7; Hebrews 9:19-28; Genesis 3:21; Genesis 4:3-4; Genesis 22:5-13; Exodus 12:12-13; Leviticus 1:1-9:24; I Kings 18:36-38;I Chronicles 23:27-32; II Chronicles 13:10-11; Ezra 6:1-10; Job 1:5, plus multitudes of references concerning blood sacrifices) There is a line of blood written all throughout the Word of GOD concerning a blood atonement for the forgiveness of sins. The Word of GOD is clear, that, without the shedding of blood THERE IS NO REMISSION! It was a necessity that the high priest shed the blood of a sacrifice, not only for the sins of the people, but also for himself. The sacrifice must be without blemish and without spot (Exodus 12:6). Many have tried to bring clean looking sacrifices (Genesis 4:3-5), strange fires (Leviticus 10:1-2), and even good religious works, but contrary to the world view today, GOD does not accept just any sacrifice. GOD requires blood for the remission of sins. Not just any blood, but the perfect blood of a perfect substitute as the ONLY remedy for your sin. The gospel of Jesus Christ, clearly preached by Paul (I Corinthians 15:1-4), states HOW that Jesus Christ died for OUR sins. How did Jesus die? He died by shedding his precious blood on the cross for YOUR sins. This was all done "according to the scriptures". 

The Sufficiency of the blood shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ

The Old Testament was given to us, not that we might obtain righteousness through what we can do, but that we might see that we are guilty and condemned already (John 3:18), and point us to the only blood that GOD would ever be satisfied with (Isaiah 53:10-11). The Holy Spirit of GOD's work is to convict a sinner through the scriptures, point to the once and for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:10) and to place our faith the finished work of Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:10-29) as the all-sufficient atonement for your sins. For centuries, man would sacrifice day after day, year after year, yet this would never be enough. BUT THIS MAN (Hebrews 10:12), Jesus Christ would satisfy the righteousness of GOD, ONCE for all. He is now ever seated at the right hand of GOD, and he EVER LIVETH to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25).WHAT A SAVIOR HE IS! THE PRECIOUS SON OF GOD SHED HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD IN MY STEAD THAT HE MIGHT REDEEM US FROM OUR RUINED NATURE, AND NEVER SPEND ONE MOMENT IN A BURNING DEVILS HELL!  When a sinner sees who they are, by the work of the holy spirit of GOD through the scriptures, and by faith sees who Jesus is to them as their all sufficient substitute, GOD will regenerate that soul the very second their faith is placed in the finished work of Jesus Christ. 

Are you pointing sinners to the finished work of Jesus Christ?

We live in an age of apostasy, where much is said about Jesus, but very little to nothing is said about Jesus as the all-sufficient sacrifice of your sins. Many preach a "bloodless gospel" today. A gospel presentation without pointing a sinner to sacrificial blood atonement as the only remedy for their sin is another gospel (Romans 10:3; Galatians 1:6-9). The blood of Jesus Christ is not only NECESSARY, but it is SUFFICIENT for every lost sinner who looks to Jesus Christ by faith (Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:11-28; Colossians 1:20; Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:20-31; John 3:14-18). Much of the so called "gospel preaching" today is either shallow, or another gospel altogether. People point a sinner to do some sort of action or work, rather than pointing them to place their FAITH in the finished work of Jesus Christ for their souls salvation. Outside of faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, the sinner will always wonder if they did enough. Faith in what Jesus Christ did for them on the cross is the only remedy to give a sinner FULL ASSURANCE  (I Thessalonians 1:5). Do you know the bible answer to the question, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30,31) Many will insert their own theology, tradition, or reasoning, but what does the bible say for our age today. It is BELIEVE on the LORD JESUS CHRIST and THOU SHALT BE SAVED. Point sinners to the gospel (I Corinthians 15:1-4) and allow GOD to do the work of salvation in their heart. We are sent to be ministers of reconciliation, ambassadors for Jesus Christ (II Corinthians 5:18-21), so we should point others to the reconciling work of the LORD Jesus Christ that they might be made the righteousness of GOD through his finished blood atonement.

The Power is in the Gospel

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 We MUST know the gospel in order to give it to others.

Romans 1:16 The power of GOD unto salvation is in the gospel, not is how eloquent you may be.

II Corinthians 5:18 If you have been born again by the spirit of GOD, you are a minister of reconciliation.

I Peter 1:18-19 Pray that GOD will help you to help others see grace and mercy in Jesus Christ as you point to his precious blood
